There are many options open to young people when they finish year 11, and if your son or daughter favours learning hands-on skills, then gaining an Apprenticeship could be the best path for them.
Rather than being entirely dependent on exams at the end of the year, an Apprenticeship is the opportunity to attain a nationally recognised qualification through on-the-job training. Apprentices gain a real experience of the world of work, with a real wage to match.
Our experienced team will take the time to understand your son or daughter’s individual needs and interests, in order to find the role that’s just right for them.
If your son or daughter struggled with English, maths or ICT at GCSE, then they will also be able to improve their grades by studying for one day a week at either Rotherham College, North Notts College or Dearne Valley College.
Your son or daughter will be supported throughout the duration of their apprenticeship by a dedicated Assessor, who will visit them regularly to see how they’re getting on. Additionally, their Assessor will be contactable at any time should they have any issues or queries.
After completion of a Level 3 Apprenticeship, Apprentices will be qualified to access a foundation degree and above, full-time employment or continue to progress on through the different levels of Apprenticeships, right up to degree level. An impressive 86% of Apprentices remain in employment at the end of their Apprenticeship.
